The first avian visitors to my birdbath have been a Northern Flicker and a couple of American Robins, although they seemed to be more interested in the adjacent plants than the fountain. One robin actually perched on the rim of the birdbath in order to drink from the drip tray of the nearest plant pot. I suspect they were attracted by the fountain but the hot weather made the still water an easier source of refreshment.

Hurray!

How wonderful!
Yes, indeed. I’m happy.
This brings a smile on my face. Let the birdwatching fun commence. Again!
They seem to come by in the early mornings and evenings, probably because it has been hot during the day.
That makes sense. Great pictures, btw!
Thanks, Lorna.
