Yesterday we had a 5.1 magnitude earthquake (originally designated 4.7) that scared the beejeezus out of me, and today we had a steady downpour of heavy rain. This evening, though, nature gave us a magnificent sunset and all is now right with this small piece of the world.

Nature was so nice to give you a beautiful sky after the earth was so scary! I think earthquakes are scary too.
This was the first time I have actually felt an earthquake, even though I used to spend half the year near the San Andreas Fault in California!
I remembered you used to live in California for half a year, and assumed you had experienced one before. How interesting!
Yes, the building I lived in had earthquake shock-resistance architecture. Sometimes I would read about them and be very thankful that I had not felt them.
Beautifully captured…. It’s amazing
Thank you.
Magnificent
Yes, indeed.
Good grief Anne, 5.1. That is a large quake! Beautiful photos after what sounds like a very stressful day. Take care my Friend. Mary Beth
I thought so too, but there were no alerts on my phone or notices on the TV. I looked around thinking something should happen, but nothing did so I just carried on.
Well, I must hand it to the Canadians for remaining calm in the face of potential danger! I would have expected TV news bulletins and sirens and phone alerts. I possibly overreact to such things? LOL I am glad you are safe. Mary Beth
Haha. Thanks, MB. I have since discovered that they only put out those alerts if the quake is a magnitude 5 or higher, but at the time they had it at 4.8, so no sirens. π
nice captures
Thank you!
