A Frosty Morning

This morning was frosty in Bowen Park; warm enough for a good walk and cold enough for some interesting sights, including some amazing hair ice. (For information on hair ice go to https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.6626358)

  1. Anne,

Hello! And I love your photos. You showed frozen cold without many words and definitely got the meaning across. The frosty fungus is amazing and I can’t help but wonder why more areas are not also touched by the frost. The river is beautiful and that lovely house along the river is in a beautiful setting. Frozen tree sap, now that really caught me. I had never even thought of such a thing. And finally the mergansers! Wonderful aquatic duck-like creatures. I get to watch mergansers when watching the Alaskan bears at Katmai on YouTube in the summer.

Hope all is going well for you. Take care, Mary Beth

    • Thank you, Mary Beth. I’m so glad you enjoyed the pictures. That house is in a lovely location, but I would have preferred not to have it in the frame! Ah well. Everything is fine here, thanks for asking.
