Today I took the Hullo passenger ferry to Vancouver. I went with a group of retirees to see Cirque du Soleil’s Echo, and I recommend it!
The first picture is of the sunrise at the ferry dock in Nanaimo. The following pictures are of the return journey and sunset, taken through the window of the ferry. (The reflections of light are not aliens. .. as far as I know.) I just wanted to record the colours in hopes of someday painting them.

What a fun excursion! Those pictures look like great inspiration for future paintings, especially that colorful sky.
It was. I met lots of new people whom I hope to meet again. I would probably feel more inspired if I were not so tired! Maybe tomorrow.
Tomorrow sounds like a great plan. Refreshed and ready to focus. And how fun to meet new people too; bonus!
one year we did the loop….Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, Earle’s Cove to Saltery Bay (Power River) Powell River to Comox, Victoria to Tsawwassen…..it took a bit of time but was amazing..the best part, Powell to Comox, the Ferry was the one that usually travels from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy..it was like luxury….. can you do walk on? That was always handy for quick trips to the Sunshine Coast…
Wow. I did not know such a loop was possible. I am relatively new to Vancouver Island having moved here in 2022. I still have a lot to learn. The ferry I took today was for passengers only and everyone had either pre-booked or bought tickets at the ferry terminal.
