English Bay, Vancouver, BC

I am taking a short trip to Vancouver with family and we enjoyed a ferry crossing that included whale sightings! I didn’t get any photos of the whales, but I did get some of the mountains and islands.

Then, on arriving at our hotel in Vancouver, we enjoyed seeing Yue Minjun’s delightful sculpture, A-maze-ing Laughter. I have seen some of his work previously, in Edmonton, and it is as popular here as it was there. Children, especially, love interacting with the figures.

And lots of people were enjoying the sunshine and sand in English Bay. In one of these pictures you will see a blue pathway that has been installed to make the beach accessible to people who use mobility devices. Way to go, Vancouver!
