All around the fourth floor of the library at Vancouver Island University are huge, floor to ceiling, windows. When students look up from their studies they can gaze out at magnificent views in every direction.
I like to think that these views give them inspiration; a sense of the world beyond their immediate focus. When you are zeroing in on some academic or scientific detail, it helps to get some perspective.

I hope so, too! It’s all new to me, so I notice it, but they see it every day so perhaps not.
