While I was out walking today, I went past the former Camera 12 cinema in downtown San Jose. It has been closed since September 2016 and was to be redeveloped. The plans have apparently stalled but someone somewhere is trying to make the best of it.

The last time I walked by this building the chainlink fence was a bit beaten up and bent, and there was trash inside it. Today, though, the fence is new and is decorated with flowers! Thank you, to whoever did that. If we have to have a chainlink fence, it’s nice to have it in good shape and covered with flowers.

The flowers are made up of small colored plastic cups that are designed to fit into the holes in the fence and to clip together. Together, they have formed lupines, thistles, black-eyed susans, and poppies.
