Here are some of the exercises done during the watercolour painting classes I have been taking. I am learning that it is more about water than colour! Dry on dry, wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on wet. I have learned to make puddles, have colours bleed into each other, and just to let it happen. Actually, that “just letting it happen” part is hard for me, but I’m working on it.

Anne: Very much like your watercolors ,especially the tree. Keep on with it. I’m now working on a talk on what’s wrong with Canadian elections based on Andrew Coyne’s latest book. This is for Oct 16th. Barb
Thanks, Barb. Good luck with the talk! I will check out that book.
Interesting
Thank you for sharing. I’ve enjoyed seeing you water colors and been meaning to say so. This is fascinating and it’s inspiring me to take a class.
Thanks, Sally. I hope you enjoy your classes as much as I do mine.
The flowers are quite darling 🙂
Thank you, June. They are a suggestion of cherry blossoms, but I should probably actually look at a cherry tree.
🙂
Wow, they are so pretty! I am fascinated with the process!
I learned that paint can “push” water and water can “pull” paint. Some colours more than others. Who knew?
I didn’t know! Fascinating!
