A little while ago in a post entitled In The Meantime, I wrote that my Christmas cactus had at last begun to show signs of blooming. On the advice of the florist in my local flower shop, I moved the pot to a sunnier location and it worked like a charm. Ta-Da!

At the risk of sounding like a smart aleck, I believe this is actually a Thanksgiving cactus. They have much more sharp pointy leaves than Christmas cactus. Whatever it is, it is beautiful. Kudos to you for nurturing such a lovely plant.
Really??!! Wow. OK. From now on I’ll call it a Thanksgiving cactus. But, given the date, could it be an Easter cactus?
Actually, Easter cactuses have even more rounded leaves. You can find pictures on-line.

I am in awe! Thank you for making me a wiser woman and for this informative link. Yes, I am looking at a Thanksgiving cactus, and now I’m wondering how much more you can teach me!
A number of my succulents have flowered for the first time ever
How exciting! It’s uplifting in a very quiet way. Little frissons of joy throughout the day.
She’s quite vibrant!
She is! I think she’s going to be a rock star.
