Neck Point Park is a great place for a walk that provides both forest and ocean views. An added sight on today’s visit was a cormorant strutting its stuff on a nearby rock.

The fourth photo reminds me of images I’ve seen by The Group of Seven and Tom Thomson. Lovely
I know exactly what you mean! When I saw that tree I mentioned to one of the women I was with that it reminded me of paintings I’d seen.
I had to dig out one of my art books about the artists. They created some amazing images of the Canadian landscape.
Beautiful! Your walks must be very inspiring.
They are, Barb. I’m convinced that walking among the trees and beside the ocean changes my brain chemistry.
Have you heard of “forest bathing”? They are saying it’s very therapuetic to walk in nature. I believe it.
I used to walk with a group in which the leader was very keen on forest bathing. She had us sit quietly for several minutes sometimes, just to let the forest bathe us.
Did that work for you? Some might think that’s hokey. I think I would enjoy it.
I found it surprisingly difficult to do. My body wanted to be up and about! But, it was very soothing.
Oh, that makes sense to me, when you are on a walk, keep walking!
Lovely gallery
Thanks, Sheree.
So much to see, to take in. Love it!
