When I was out walking the other day I saw this collection of twigs in the slender branches of a small tree. I couldn’t figure out if a very large bird had put them there or a human. Either way, it doesn’t make sense. The tree branches are too small to support a large nest and the tree is not tall enough to provide a safe place for a large bird. Also, the twigs are probably too big even for an eagle to carry.
If it was a human, I wonder why. Why collect twigs if not for a fire, which would be illegal here? And why place them among the tree’s branches?
Maybe it’s just another reminder that some things are unfathomable.

That is certainly possible. I have also wondered if someone is collecting them for some sort of art or craft. They look too sturdy for weaving but I suppose that is possible.
On a lighter note could be a baby bigfoot trying out their nest building skills, a confused Dodo bird perhaps? Or am I watching too much Discovery and Expedition unknown ?
