Fungi at Hemer Provincial Park

In about ninety minutes in Hemer Provincial Park on Monday I saw more different varieties of fungi than I had ever seen before. I was with a friend who has studied fungi and she noticed many that I would simply have walked past without seeing.

I have tried to identify as many as possible using the Picture Mushroom app, but a few of the identifications do not have a very high percentage of reliability, possibly because my photos are not clear enough. As such, I will appreciate any identifications or corrections you may have.

Having said that, I hope you will enjoy the lovely variety here as much as I do.

  1. Both fascinating and amazing to look at. I believe I had no idea so many varieties exist and probably numerous others. Thank you for attempting to identify them. Enjoy some of the names. πŸ™‚

  2. I think they’re fascinating and weird. Does your friend know which ones are edible as well? I think that’s fascinating, too, and scary as one needs to avoid the poisonous ones. I have no idea which are which!
