This year’s theme for the Parksville Sand-Sculpting exhibition is Wonders of the World, and the artists interpreted this in a variety of ways. All the sculptures are very impressive and I was hard-pressed to pick my favourite. What they accomplish in 30 hours over 4 days is amazing. Here is a slide show of my photos for you to enjoy.

They are all great but the 300 year mortgage made me laugh is this in Nanaimo?
It took me a while to get what was meant with that one, but you are right. It is very funny. The competition is held annually in Parksville, which is a town north of Nanaimo.
How fun. I do favor the dog and dragon sculptures.
