Tomorrow will be the start of Advent in the Western Christian tradition. That means you can start taking the chocolates out of the Advent calendar, and you can begin putting up Christmas decorations.

Some of us use a different tradition and start putting up decorations as soon as Hallowe’en is over, which explains why some of the yachts in the harbour already have lights on them.

Mother Nature also seem to be getting into the spirit of the season by giving us a glorious sunrise today. Whatever tradition you follow, I hope you enjoy lots of holiday lights and winter daylight.
We don’t usually decorate until mid-December but as he ‘kids’ are here from Dec 10 to Dec 17, we have things ready when they arrive. I can live with that 🙂
That makes a lot of sense, June.
We started decorating this morning . I am a minimalist as to what I put up I must take down. I keep it to a small portion of the home and the kids love helping.
I became a minimalist when I moved and left my Christmas decorations with my eldest son and his family. Now I, too, am happy to keep it small and in a corner of the living room :).
