Dawson Park in Edmonton is a delightful park for walkers, joggers, cyclists, and dog owners, and it runs alongside the North Saskatchewan River. I had not been there before today because I don’t usually go to dog parks. This one, though, is well worth a visit.
All the dogs I saw were well behaved and I heard only two of them bark. That got me wondering why we use the same word for the outside of a tree that we use for the sound a dog makes. That, in turn, reminded me of some of the photos I have taken of tree bark.
I don’t have any pictures of Dawson Park yet, but I do have tree bark.
