A week before I left California I enjoyed another walk with my sister around Lake Cunningham in San Jose. There are lots of different birds, ducks, and geese living on and around the lake, and I cannot identify them all, but I have done my best here as you will see if you click on the photos.
One of the lovely things about this lake is that many people are able to enjoy walks there either alone or with a friend, and everyone says hello when they pass. I hope that those people are still able to walk there during this period of social distancing because it really refreshes the soul.
The scenery is lovely, the wildlife is oblivious to us, and the fresh air is invigorating. Just keep a hockey-stick distance apart, folks!
Very tranquil enjoyed the photos.
It really is a lovely place. I’m just hoping the park isn’t closed yet.
The park is still open. It is big enough to accommodate those of us who are keeping our distance. However when I was there a few days ago some of the pathways were flooded and very muddy. The children’s playground has been roped off. Other than that it remains the same.. those male geese are getting very frisky, must be spring.
I am so glad you are still able to go for walks there, Vera! That is good news. You should probably steer clear of those frisky male geese, though. I hope the flooding clears soon.
Afterthought: that must mean you had rain, and that is a good thing!
