Downtown Edmonton is a bit of a mess right now. It has been raining a lot and there are construction and repair projects going on everywhere you look. Trying to find your way around either on wheels or on foot is a bit of a challenge, but in doing so you might see some things you don’t normally see.
When I was there on Tuesday I decided to walk from Jasper and 101 Street to Churchill Square. The only reason I wanted to go there was to see if there was anything interesting on the Happy Wall. It turned out that the route was very circuitous, but on the way I saw some cheerful murals on construction hoardings. Then, when I eventually got to Churchill Square, there was a message that I decided was from a visiting Brit because it had a London accent. It must have been meant for me!
Allo there! Actually the Looking Good image was meant for you.
Haha! Thanks, Vera.
Fun! All signs meant for you this day! Worth the effort, and noise I expect.
Eeee that’s muddy
Yes. In some places it was too muddy to walk without being very, very careful.
SPLASH IN THE MUD
haha.
Caught any good shows recently?
I’ve been watching far too much TV, and there are some good series on right now.
Well, it was good to walk about for a while, but the mud and detours were quite difficult in places. In the end, though, it was nice to see “Allo”!
