Two murals that I had not seen until this week both show images that are emblematic of Canada’s north; narwhals and magpies.
Narwhals live year-round in the Arctic waters where gatherings of hundreds of them have been seen.

Magpies live year-round in Edmonton which is now the magpie capital of Canada. They are very loud neighbours but we have learned to love them.

I’ve always loved the magpie mural. I have a thing for those little buggers since the moment I met them in Kamloops. I was happy to see them when we moved here!
I’ve not come across the narwhal one yet! I’d love to meet a narwhal in real life ❤
Thanks for introducing me to something new!
You are welcome! I think you’ll have to go a long way to see a narwhal, but it would be great to see one of those gatherings.
Maybe one day…I could just skip off one of those Churchill polar bear viewing buggies…;P
Take pictures!
Haahaaa. I’ll leave them in my will for you!
Beautiful murals and you have captured them so well.
Thanks, Ark!
