March Miscellany

When I am out and about I like to have my camera or my phone with me to capture moments of interest.  Here are some photos I took in March. There is no theme to tie them together except for the month, the city of San Jose, and me.

A happy plant pot.
Uproar Brewing Company mural, San Jose.
Ominous sky
Trees outside the arena at San Jose State University
OK. This is just funny.
California State Normal School Bell from 1881. It weighs 3,000 pounds.
Houses on South Third Street, San Jose.
Rain on a Sweetbriar Rose
The Strelitzia (Bird of Paradise) that was the reason for my fall last year is now blooming again. We both are.

  1. Anne, Love the photos. Bird of Paradise has survived…wow! Best yet is that you are blooming. You have a great eye for detail. I would have missed the happy face on the plant pot! I have long admired those houses on 3rd St and wondered about the stories they could tell. March Miscellany is a good thing!

  2. I kept excepting something to leap out at me from your curtains, ha ha.
That was so beautiful! I sometimes sit and watch the shadow of the trees on my walls. Peaceful and pretty.
I enjoyed your photos. You live in an interesting place with lots of beauty and things to inspire.

      1. 🙂 Not disappointed, relieved! Ha Ha! Do you remember those internet gags from twenty years ago? Stare hard at this photo/video…sound on…and then BAM! Some scary shrieking demon gives you a heart attack. I must have internet PTSD 😛

  3. Lovely! Thank you for sharing, each one so enjoyable to see and my favorite is the bird of paradise is blooming again and so are you! Video of your window…very meditative. Ahh.

  4. What a wonderful set of photos! I love that happy plant pot especially. And that tree! Wow. Who knew it was so easy to tell the boy trees from the girls? 🙂 🙂 🙂
