This week is Pride Week at the University of Alberta. There will be events, shows, and a parade on campus. I hope it isn’t too cold for the parade! The city of Edmonton is recognizing this by lighting the High Level Bridge in rainbow colours.

Edmonton has its Pride Week in warmer weather in June and I have enjoyed attending lots of parades and shows over the last few years. The atmosphere is always very joyful and lots of the local businesses, churches, social groups, and politicians take part. Local citizens turn out in huge numbers to enjoy the parade and you have to arrive early if you want a curbside spot. Here are some of the many pictures I have taken to show how much fun it is.
If your city has a Pride parade this year, you should go!
Happy times! How fun! Love the color and the smiles.
The Pride parade is always a lot of fun. It’s great to see everyone come together in support of the LGBTQ community.
That sounds like it would feel good. I might have to find my local one this year 😊
I guarantee you will smile a lot.
I love that part where your face muscles get tired from smiling so much.
