Odds and Ends, but Mostly Odds

These are a few of the pictures I have taken of odd things that have caught my eye.

My Best Weapon is Critical Thought
WW1 balloon soldier
Scary furry people
Don’t hurt the tree!
The bloom is off the roses
Piano and stool in a front yard
Fire escapes, New York
Miss Piggy quote
Markings on the cement roof of a hospital building. (Or, the message may be in gravel and covered with snow. I can’t remember!)
One-eyed stump
Splunk Christmas balls

  1. HI Anne, I haven’t replied to any of your Snowbird postings for a long while. I still enjoy and look forward to them, that is, unless they tell me that you have had an accident. Your pictures are great. I must explore Edmonton more. I spent my first 4 years just off Jasper Ave. and remember walking along the river bank with my Mom. There was a golf course, and I still remember seeing the “tiny” people playing down there. One day, we watched some men starting to walk up the hill, and I was so excited about seeing these little people. Well, I was quite disappointed as they grew to normal size, but learned an early lesson in perspective. Best wishes to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year.
