This year’s Rust Magic Street Mural Festival in Edmonton contributed two huge murals to walls on 118th Avenue. One is at the Edmonton District Family Support Association and the other is at Optimum Auto Service. In addition, a few other small street murals popped up at the Carrot Cafe and the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts. They add lots of colour and interest to the area.
Always loved Murals. There are a few in Jo’burg but I am nervous to take the camera and go walkabout. I managed to get one shot from the car a while back of a huge one of Mandela.
I understand your hesitation in walking about the city with a camera. I try not to include people in my photos but that’s hard to do sometimes. Occasionally someone will ask me to take their photo when I’m out and about with my camera, but mostly I get odd looks from people who are wondering what I’m doing. There is always the risk that someone might steal the camera, but so far I haven’t had any problems.
It’s the chance of getting mugged that is the main fear.
Ah. I’m sorry that is a fear for you. There are so many great pictures you could take if that were not the case.

This is a terrific tribute to this expression of community art. Lovely expressions
Thanks! I’m a big fan of street art in the city.
Ever since I viewed the murals in Chemainus, BC, I am too. Thanks for sharing your city art

Occasionally somebody will necessitate me to acquire their photo when I’m out and about with my television camera, but mostly I bring forth unmated looks from people who are wondering what I’m doing. Thanks for sharing your city prowess adorable expressions
